I am trying to save a 90 Corrado with a 93 VR6/SLC conversion. So far I have swapped all the oil/fluids to Sythetic, replaced CV axles to get rid of a rowling that I still have (wheel bearings are next), found a section of wire harness chewed up by the radiator fan (repaired and now the A/C works and cooling fan cycles like it should, replaced the broken drivers door handle and bad headlight switch.
I have a couple problems I am tryin gto get thru so I can get this car on the road for my oldest son.
#1
If I shut the car off after a long run, it will not re-fire (it will turn over but not start. I slapped a timing light on it and it will strobe when I turn it over so I thought it was fuel pressure related. Today I plumbed in a fuel pressure gauge and got it to fail and I have 51 psi on the rail, a flashing timing light and it will not start untill you let it sit for a while. I am stumped.
#2 The aux. water pump will not shut off after I shut the engine down and will kill the battery overnight. I can get it to shut off and stay off by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. I'm thinking relay.
Do any of you fine folks have any ideas on either of these problems or might know of this Corrado.

I'm not sure why my pix did not post properly.
Anyway, I fooled with the Raddo some today. I had the timing light clipped on, fuel pressure gauge plumbed in. I ran it in the driveway untill I got it to fail to re-start. I had 51 psi on the fuel rail and the timing light flashing but no start. I got my son to turn it over while I put my mechanics stethiscope on the injector that I can see. I had no chatter from th injector untill it cooled off and the engine started. Sooooo, i went to the wiring diagrams and it looks like the power to the injector harness comes from a seperate terminal on the ECU relay. I ordered the relay and will see if that does it for me. Have any of you ever had this problem?
